The Key Largo Stone Crab and Seafood Festival was created by the Key Largo Merchants Association to highlight what makes Key Largo special – clear waters, unique arts and crafts, music, and great, fresh seafood!

Unfortunately, the attendance overwhelmed US 1 and backed up traffic almost into Florida City. Because of the traffic conditions, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department had to eliminate the event.

The Rotary Club of Homestead and the City of Homestead worked with the organizers of the Key Largo event and welcomed them to bring the event to Homestead.

Thus was born the Rotary Club of Homestead Charitable Foundation Stone Crab & Seafood Festival (Homestead Seafood Festival).

We are pleased to continue the excellence of this great event in Miami-Dade!

Proceeds from the event are used by the Rotary Club of Homestead Charitable Foundation for college scholarships for local youth, support for the Homestead Soup Kitchen and assistance for various not-for-profit organizations in the Homestead area.
